I've gone to many concerts on my own. I don't see why anyone would consider that pathetic. I guess some people think that they can't have a good time on their own. I don't really understand that.
I don't think I'm so much worried about the actual show as I am about the drive.
My mom (where I'm staying while in the country) lives /aaaages/ from civilization and the drive to and from anything interesting to do is generally long and boring.
I think I'd be fine at the gig by myself, as there's not really room for chatting or anything during one...
