Today, after climbing up two escalators at Waterloo (one of which is Very Incredibly Long) and jogging to my train gate, I got stuck on the wrong side of one of those little motorized carts that have like 4 trailers and (I think) haul garbage around.
I sprinted around it, got to the train door just as it was closing.
The guard closed the door in my face and shook her head "no" at me, after watching me struggle with the trash van thing!
How nice of her.
Admittedly, there are 4 trains an hour that go where I want to go, but for all she knew, I wanted the tail end of that train, which is only every half hour.
